Citibeats Joins Fellow Startup Finalists at South Summit Madrid
Recently selected as Technology Pioneer 2022 by the World Economic Forum and one of the 5 best digital businesses worldwide at the Mobile World Congress, Citibeats will pitch its platform to leading entrepreneurs, corporations, and investors this week at South Summit Madrid.
During this year’s three-day expo from June 8 - 10 in La Nave, Madrid, the Summit will unveil its “best edition to date,” featuring 100 finalists of the best global startups in consumer trends, digital business, education, connectivity & data, and more.
Among these finalists, Citibeats has recently been named among the 10 best in digital business, and will join a select few in pitching its innovations onstage, networking with those in the ecosystem, showcasing software demos, and more.
During Citibeats’ pitch at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, Venture Manager Jamie Clark will highlight the platform’s impactful capabilities to a panel of investors and leading corporations.
“I am looking forward to attending South Summit 2022 and connecting with the global entrepreneurship ecosystem,”
Spearheaded in 2012, South Summit began during a bleak period in Spain’s economic history, inspiring a belief that “the entrepreneurial spirit would be the driving force to heal the economy,” reads a South Summit account. In its decade as a reference hub for disruptive leaders in sustainability, South Summit has connected more than 25,000 participant start-ups including Cabify, Bnext, and Glovo, among others.
Utilizing social understanding technology, the Citibeats platform gathers unstructured data from social media commentary, forum discussions, blog posts, and more, intelligently generating real-time insights about populational concerns and topic prevalence on customizable dashboards, from sustainability to social risk.
Clark will focus on the platform’s sustainability capabilities, discussing how implementing citizen opinions about topics such as food security can inform real-time understanding of societal changes and be a transformational asset in building a more representative and inclusive society.
In addition to its aspirations of being named winner of the competition, Citibeats hopes to connect with sales leads and investors, enhance exposure and branding, and engage with other disruptive speakers, especially those involved with data, innovation, and policy-making.
Participation in the South Summit follows other recent honors for Citibeats. The company was recognized as a 2022 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer and named a top-5 startup at #4YFN22.
